Meta Release New ‘Widely Viewed Content’ Report for Facebook

Meta has just rolled out its Q1 2025 “Widely Viewed Content” report, and it offers a fascinating look into what people in the U.S. are actually seeing in their Facebook Feeds. Spoiler alert: it’s not what most marketers think.

Unlike the assumption that viral links dominate Facebook, the report reveals that a staggering 97.3% of Feed views came from content that did not include external links. In other words, Facebook is prioritizing native content—videos, photos, status updates, and especially Reels—over shared blog posts or news links.
